As of April 2016, GP surgeries are required to allow patient to access certain online services. Registered patients can order their repeat prescriptions, book appointments and view part of their health record.
After April 1st 2016, patients will be able to make use of an additional feature, which will display detailed coded information relating to conditions and consultations held with GPs or nursing staff.
In order to utilise this service, patients will be required to complete the appropriate application form, available from reception. Enabling access to medical records can be a very time consuming process, so we would ask that patients allow us a reasonable length of time when responding to requests.
Applications will be processed on a first come first served basis, depending upon demand for the service and the practice reserves the right to employ a waiting list to deal with a large number of requests.
Please note that medical records may often contain sensitive or upsetting information. Our clinical system does not allow this information to be retracted or altered in any way. Any information contained within your record, is a genuine reflection of what was said during your consultation with a GP or Nurse.
